My Knight, My Light

Watch him move in grace, subduing the grounds below him
The feel of his eyes only turn my sights off and makes everything blurry.
He walks in every dark day and makes himself the one thing I need; My Light.
People stare and tell me how wrong I am to believe you care,
Maybe I should feel a little if not much something like an iota of Fear.
If they weren't talking about you it would be easy but thoughts of you cloud my reasoning.

Your voice sends the shivers all over my spine;
Dare I tell the world you are mine?
Days when I'm in trouble you are always there,
May I shout to the world that you are My Knight?
Grateful, Glad, Happy, Sad, Mad, Crazy;
These rush in when I'm with you, or when I listen to you, or feel you.

I wonder why heads turn at your presence but it’s only my heart that stirs.
My skin pricks like I'm out in the cold, but to talk to you I lose all confidence to be bold,
Yet in your absence all I think of is the feel of your skin.
Yet you seem quite oblivious of the sinking when you turn your back to leave.
Probably if you knew what its like, how much it hurts to be without you
You would stay for no longer than a day after forever.

Sure the feeling of graciousness isn't absent, a real Substance you have been.
Why haven't you been convicted? I'm addicted and obsessed all to You
You walked into my world and turned it on its head.
Danced in with bags of laughter, joy and happiness
You gave me a reason which is equivalent to a Million to seek the dawn of another day
I shouldn't run away before letting you realize that a lot want me
But I want just one, which is You.

You fell into my life and turned it around,
Got me plunged into a realm I never thought existed
At the mere mention of your name a ridiculous grin steals my face and something in the depth of my soul leaps for Joy
I love You! Nevertheless for being a part of this Existence
You told me to keep what I know I have and never throw it away on words of men
You thought me to be wanted before I want
Now, May I Look at the Earth from the skies and Wish for an Afterlife with you in it
Not for any other reason but for who you are to me
I don't know what affection is but I understand why my heart flips and beats for you
You have stored up these hidden Feelings within me.
They are so Alien, I'm so Naive but I'm loving them.
For when the sun stops shining you are there,
Changing the keys and thrusting me into bliss.

You are no other than;

My Knight, My Light

Our Direction

It wasn't on the first day. It took us more than a year
It wasn't the words you first said that took us past the first heard
It wasn't the first smile that got us smitten ,neither was it the hundreds that came after
It wasn't the second that hypnotised ,nor the hour that stigmatized
It wasn't something the hands could hold onto nor the eyes could speak evil into
It was a force no one could predict that came into the precinct and magnetized
It was something so pure the legs of time couldn't sidetrack, nor the mouth of men Describe
It was something that didn't need a reason to be accepted, neither were explanations required
It is Beautiful, it possess Life, it is Cute and Fun, its what men call addiction
Our way of Describing "I see only you"and saying to the world its so magical it has to be true
Neither foresight nor hindsight could have seen this magnificent tide for it never did damage but cursed their sight
They couldn't pin a location we thread for most times it was in the path they all dread
They say we have lost the natural instinct that gives direction but we know we are binded by the sense they lack in the nation
They look at us and see glass thinking they can see through us not knowing its a guise
We are recreated to live in peace we have been highly reformed, they think we are stupid or plainly deformed
We know our direction, Understand our Decision, accept what life throws at us,make the best of our companion
For we have purchased something Priceless, Nature has given us more than blessings
We found Ourselves, Found Bond,Found Love
All good things now come in Our Direction

PERFECT HEALTH

Health is a common theme in most cultures. In fact, all communities have their concepts of health, as part of their culture. Among definitions still used, probably the oldest is that health is the ‘’absence of disease’’. In some cultures, health and harmony are considered equivalent, harmony being defined as ‘’being at peace with the self, the community, god, cosmos’’.

Health is one of those terms which most people find very difficult to define although they are confident of its meaning. Therefore, many definitions of health have been offered from time to time. An alternative approach to positive health conceptualizes health not as an ideal state, but as a biologically ‘’normal’’ state based on statistical averages. For instance a newborn baby in India weighs 2.8kg on an average compared to 3.5kg in the developed countries, and yet compares favorably in health.  The height and weight standards vary from country to country, and also between socioeconomic groups. Many normal people show heart murmurs, enlarged tonsils and X-ray shadows in chest and yet do not show signs of ill health.

Therefore, Health is a relative concept in the broad sense of the word. It does not merely mean the absence of disease or provision of diagnostic, curative and preventive services. The state of positive health implies the notion of ‘’perfect functioning’’ of the body and mind. It conceptualizes health biologically, as a state in which every cell and every organ is functioning at optimum capacity and in perfect harmony with the rest of the body; psychologically, as a state in which the individual feels a sense of perfect well-being and of mastery over his environment, and socially, as a state in which the individual’s capacities for participation in the social system are optimal.

Health is multi-factorial. The factors which influence health lie both within the individual and the society in which he or she lives. It is a truism to say that what man is and to what diseases he may fall victim depends on a combination of two sets of factors – his genetic factors and the environmental factors to which he is exposed. These factors interact and these interactions may be health-promoting or deleterious. Thus, conceptually, the health of individuals and whole communities may be considered to be the result of many interactions.

In conclusion ‘’perfect health“cannot become a reality because man will never be so perfectly adapted to his environment that his life will not involve struggles, failures and sufferings. Positive health will, therefore, always remain a mirage, because everything in our life is subject to change.

My Story Of Woes

I have to tell a story of woes
That I heard when mending soles
He told me all about his foes
I was all but staring at his toes

I saw everything divinely made
Did all but started to fade
He then asked me know to play a game

I looked around in the zoo
Because I didn't know the rule
So I had to ask Mr Bull
I never knew he was so much of a fool
He filled my cup till it was all but full

Almost forgot about the game
He set it up on a stage
Then said It was all about my fame
But all I did answer was "Nay"
For all I had was nothing but my name

I asked for the flag
To put upon my tag but when I asked
He started to look sad
His face fell and looked sag
But then I asked for a sack
Instead of a miniature rat
He started to look flat
That was my encounter with the Minister of Rag
And the Institution of Sack

Back to the mender of souls
I stared at his toes
As he shared his story of foes
Which I added to my collection of woes
That I wrote in the one of all pink notes
That I should place beneath the colour filled poles

He told me everything I needed and had to hear
He set off my gear that the rapt attention was on my ear
He even touched my hair
Placed me on the rear and commanded that o breath the dusty air
And I saw him approach and be near
Too near for I nearly chocked with fear
Which was interrupted by a too loud awkward cheer

The mender of souls stared and said
Stop checking up on my toes
I have finished my story of foes
So I stared as he "goes"
Then I looked at the soles
I had to mend to fend for words
He left me with too much thoughts
Then I met the King of Torts

He stared at my lips and started to sing
He talked about life being filled with tulips
He did then at me he winked
I had to grape on to my book and cease being dizzy
But faster they were and had called for me Nurse Lizzy

The King left me alone
Then I thought about all he had foretold
Getting home o met the lady of the land
When I asked for her wand
She scraped a hand full of Sand
And told me all about her hand
I did all bit subdue the laugh
When she ran me over with stories of Mother Marpht

Then the moon started to smile
I walked so long but mile
Then I saw the River Nile
Sitting on my very Right
Ever so beautiful in the Light
Thought it was a bulb that gave out its light
I never knew it was Nature smiling so beautifully in the Night

When I laid on my bed
I looked at all my pictures of Zed
I thought I knew what I felt
But now I understand all but the spell
That helped in making lortus which did all but fell
I remembered the Kunta Rhythm realm
Kunta Lara Lana Laso yoh they yelled
